Understanding Human Intelligence

The Hidden Sciences of Human Intelligence
According to Hindu Scriptures

Human Intelligence is the
Journey Of the Soul

At the core of every human being
resides the soul —
immortal, eternal, and
within itself preserving
the complete memory of countless lifetimes.

Through the vast span of one Kalpa, the soul takes birth again and again, each time acquiring new knowledge and new experiences.

• Nothing learned is ever lost.
• Nothing understood ever disappears.

All intelligence and all knowledge are stored permanently in the soul and carried forward into every new birth.

Your physical body may change, but your intelligence travels with you, lifetime after lifetime.

The Soul, Brahm and the Field of Consciousness Your physical body is created from the field of Brahm—the infinite cosmic field.

This has already been discussed in the SRS video series that Brahm is no different from the Higgs field that has been discovered by modern science.

It has also been proven scientifically, that all physical matter emanated from this field.

Hindu scriptures describe the same field as Brahm.

Your soul is the bridge between the physical body and Brahm.

It has been mentioned very clearly in Hindu scriptures that:

The primary purpose of human life is to enhance one’s intelligence and use it to create greater knowledge through action (Karma).

Whatever profession you are in—science, arts, business, service, or spirituality—your knowledge becomes your contribution to existence.

Your Karma becomes your imprint on the world serves as the purpose of this creation.

To Choose the Right Actions, to Earn Rightly, to Live Wisely
We Must Understand Intelligence Deeply.

And that brings us to the most powerful analogy.
Human Body Works Like a Mobile Phone

This is just to understand human body, intelligence and soul better. Human body is far more complex.

Today, almost each and everyone is familiar with the functioning of a Mobile phone. Even a hundred years back this was not possible.

Human Body Works Like a Mobile Phone,
But is Far More Advanced

To understand human intelligence, imagine your mobile phone:

• It has a physical body.
• A CPU and memory.
• Operating system.
• Applications.
• Input and output devices.

The human body mirrors this structure almost exactly. Consider

Mobile Phone AS Human Body

Mobile CPU & Cache Memory AS Human Brain and Mind

SIM Card AS  Soul

Operating System  AS  In-built Human Intelligence

Apps AS Skills

Electromagnetic Field AS Brahm The Cosmic Field

Electromagnetic Field is the field that connects your phone to the Tower and further to Service Provider.
This field is analogous to the field of Brahm
— the cosmic field.

This analogy reveals profound truths:

1. A phone becomes “alive” only when a SIM is inserted. A human body becomes alive only when the soul enters the physical body.
2. When the mobile phone is damaged or destroyed , the SIM can be moved to a new device. When the body dies, the soul takes on a new body form.
3. Your brain—like a Mobile CPU—cannot exceed the functioning of its preloaded operating system unless reprogrammed.
4. Just as software in Mobile phone can become corrupted, Human Brain too can become infected by “viruses” such as greed, fear, anger, negativity, addictions, and harmful mental patterns. And Most Important:
5. And just as corrupted software can be corrected—your brain programming CAN ALSO BE RESET, REPAIRED, AND REPROGRAMMED.

Important to Note

1. You are not stuck with the mind you currently have.
You have a brain that is programmable, upgradable, and capable of far more than you ever imagined.

2. The Body Is Always Connected to a field that is Brahm
Like a Phone to a Network

3. Just as your phone remains connected to a network 24/7
Your soul keeps your body connected to Brahm 24/7.
The connection is constant—day and night, waking or sleeping.

4. Every thought, action, intention, and desire are known to the cosmic field. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is lost.

5. Your entire life is recorded in the cosmic intelligence system as your Karma.

6. Brahm has also been defined as God Almighty in Hindu scriptures. Does this mean that God is watching you 24/7?

7. Just like the Electromagnetic Field that connects your mobile phone to tower 24/7 is all around you, inside you inside all physical objects 24/7. Similarly, Brahm  the cosmic field or The God Almighty, is all around you inside you inside all objects 24/7.

8. Just like your Mobile phone becomes 'conscious' when connected to the Electromagnetic field. Similarly, human body becomes conscious when connected to the cosmic field of Brahm.

The only difference being that while the Electromagnetic field that connects your mobile to tower is not conscious by itself, Brahm The Cosmic Field is also conscious by itself.

The Greatest Revelation:
You Can Reprogram Your Brain

Just as:

• phone software can be updated
• operating systems can be optimized
• performance can be enhanced through better apps
• Your brain can also be upgraded beyond its present limits.
• You can remove mental viruses.
• You can improve cognitive speed.
• You can enhance memory, clarity, creativity, emotional stability, and decision-making.

The Vedas have methods for this—far superior to anything modern psychology has yet discovered.

But here is the greatest secret of all
THE BIGGEST REVELATION:

The Human Brain Has a Natural Programming Language — SANSKRIT

• Just as every computer requires a programming language…
• Just as every device responds to a specific set of commands… • The human brain also has a fundamental coding language. That language is SANSKRIT.
• Every mantra, every alphabet, every phonetic pattern of Sanskrit is designed to directly interface with the brain’s operating system.

This is not poetry. This is neuroscience, physics, and metaphysics combined.

Our book Sanatan Dharma A Complete Scientific Analysis describes:

• How Sanskrit programs the human brain
• How Mantras are programming language strings that ‘modify’ brain programming
• How ancient Indian knowledge systems were built on advanced cognitive sciences
• And how YOU can use these techniques to upgrade your mind to its highest potential

The Theory of Intelligence

What Science Still Doesn’t Understand

Before we explore the true nature of intelligence, it is important to first understand how little the modern world knows about it. You may find this surprising—but the current scientific understanding of human intelligence is fragmented, incomplete, and in many ways, profoundly shallow.

The Stark Reality: Modern Science Has Not Understood Intelligence at all. The global scientific community still cannot define intelligence, explain its origin, or describe its true nature.

And this raises a profound question: If human intelligence drives the entire world, why has the world failed to understand it?

Why is there almost no major research done on the very thing that powers all technology, all innovation, all progress?

The answer is uncomfortable but obvious.

Modern Science Is Busy Running After “Money,” Not Intelligence.

Humanity today is obsessed with: maximizing wealth, creating markets, increasing consumption, building economic systems.

But pause for a moment and ask yourself:
Does the World Run on Money or On Intelligence?

Money creates no systems.
Money builds no inventions.
Money solves few problems.

Human intelligence does all of that.

In fact: Money without intelligence is quickly lost.

Wealth without wisdom destroys its owner.

Even AI—Artificial Intelligence—exists only because human intelligence created it.

So, if artificial intelligence can multiply money and reshape industries, imagine the possibilities if humans learned how to develop their own natural intelligence to much higher levels.

The Shocking Truth

There Is Not a Single Globally Accepted Theory of Intelligence

Let this sink in for a moment: In 2024, the scientific world does not agree on even one theory of intelligence. Not one. There is:

No unified definition,
No complete model,
No proven explanation of how intelligence is created, stored, or expanded.

And here is the real paradox: Science uses tests to measure intelligence (IQ tests), but science cannot define what intelligence is.

How can you measure something that hasn’t even been properly defined?

This is like: measuring the height of a building without knowing what a building is or weighing an object without defining what “weight” means.

It makes no logical sense.

The Conclusion Is Clear

Modern science—despite all its advancements—has not understood:

the source of intelligence,
the mechanics of intelligence,
the purpose of intelligence or
the cosmic system that governs intelligence

And until science understands the nature of intelligence, it cannot understand life, consciousness, or human potential.

This is why we must turn to the deeper, more advanced, more complete knowledge – That is Only found in ancient Indian scriptures.

Our book Sanatan Dharma A Complete Scientific Analysis describes:

• what intelligence truly is
• how it is created
• how it evolves across lifetimes
• how it can be expanded
• and how ancient Vedic sciences understood intelligence with far more depth than modern psychology ever has.

Human Intelligence in
Ancient Hindu Scriptures

The Forgotten Truth
Ancient Indian wisdom presents a stunning revelation—
one that modern science has yet to grasp.

According to these timeless texts, Intelligence is not a human faculty; it is the origin of existence itself.

• Intelligence is the entity from which the universe was born
• Intelligence is what sustains every form of life
• Intelligence is what the universe ultimately dissolves back into This understanding appears repeatedly—explicitly—across many ancient Hindu scriptures.

Yet, surprisingly, not only Western Indologists but even many Indian scholars have overlooked this central truth.

A Discovery Through Practice, Not Theory

Quoted from the book
Sanatan Dharma A Complete Scientific Analysis

"My own journey into this subject did not begin through academic study, but through practice. When I started applying the techniques described in ancient Indian texts—under the guidance of a Guru—my life began to change in ways that were impossible to ignore."

Years ago, I was struggling with serious financial challenges. Despite having surplus money at certain points, I lacked clarity, direction, and the intelligence required to manage it properly. Even though I was deeply religious—performing every ritual with sincerity—my problems continued. But the moment I began practicing the actual techniques prescribed in ancient scriptures, something extraordinary happened:

• My thinking patterns changed
• My decision-making improved
• Professional challenges began to resolve
• My entire inner system of processing life shifted This was not blind belief—it was visible transformation. Not just financially, but across every dimension of life.
• Ancient India Never Located Intelligence Inside the Human Skull

What struck me most in my research was this:

• Ancient Indian texts never considered intelligence to be a product of the brain. Just as modern physics now acknowledges a universal field (the Higgs Field) from which all physical matter arises, ancient Indian texts described another profound field—the field of Intelligence and Consciousness—pervading the entire cosmos together with the Higgs Field or Brahm.

This field:

• permeates all beings,
• sustains every form of life,
• and provides the very intelligence that humans use to think, create, and evolve.

Modern science openly admits that consciousness remains a mystery. But what is even more astonishing is that the nature of intelligence is an unresolved mystery as well.

As discussed earlier, the global scientific community still lacks a complete definition or theory of intelligence. Ancient India, however, understood it with remarkable precision.

Intelligence Is a Universal Field

Accessible to Humans in Its Highest Form

According to ancient Indian texts:

Intelligence originates from a universal, all-pervading field.

The human brain does not produce intelligence; it is connected to it.

This theory applies specifically to humans—not other species—because humans alone have the capacity to access higher layers of this cosmic intelligence.

Our book Sanatan Dharma A Complete Scientific Analysis describes:

What this universal intelligence field is,
How it interacts with the human mind
Why humans alone can tap into its higher dimensions And what this means for your personal growth, success, and spiritual evolution.

Two Types of Intelligence

The Two Core Dimensions of the Human Mind

Ancient Indian texts don’t merely classify intelligence by Varna, they also describe the inner quality of intelligence.

This deeper layer of human psychology is far more advanced than anything modern science has yet established.

According to these texts, every individual’s inner functioning is made of two distinct components:

• Buddhi — Core Intelligence
• Dhruti — Mental Stability / Patience / Steadfastness

The Sanskrit word Dhruti has no perfect English equivalent. It represents a blend of: patience emotional steadiness self-control, control of mind mental resolve inner satisfaction stability of thought and action

Both Buddhi and Dhruti exist in every human, and both are further categorized into three types based on the qualities of Satwa, Rajas, and Tamas.

Bhagwan Krishna describes these in Shrimad Bhagavad Gita with unparalleled clarity.

1. The Three Types of Intelligence (Buddhi)

बुद्धेर्भेदं धृतेश्चैव गुणतस्त्रिविध् शृणु।
प्रोच्यमानमशेषेण पृथक्त्वेन धनञ्जय।।१८.२९।।

O Dhananjaya, listen as I explain in detail the threefold qualities of Intelligence and Dhruti. (18.29) Satwik Intelligence (Sattvic Buddhi)

प्रवृत्तिं च निवृत्तिं च कार्याकार्ये भयाभये।
बन्धं मोक्षं च या वेत्ति बुद्धिः सा पार्थ सात्त्विकी।।१८.३०।।

A Satwik intelligence clearly understands:

what is indulgence and what is restraint,
what is duty and what is not,
what is fear and what is fearlessness,
what is bondage and what is liberation.

Satvik Intelligence is the clarity of mind that can discern right from wrong, duty from non-duty, fear from courage, bondage from freedom.

It represents pure, balanced, and truthful reasoning.

This definition given in Shrimad Bhagwad Gita differs from the general notion about being Satvik in the minds of average people.Note the stark difference.

Rajasik Intelligence (Rajasic Buddhi)

यया धर्ममधर्मं च कार्यं चाकार्यमेव च।
अयथावत्प्रजानाति बुद्धिः सा पार्थ राजसी।।१८.३१।।

Rajasik intelligence cannot clearly distinguish between: Dharma and Adharma
What is Duty and what is not duty

Definition: Rajasik Intelligence lacks clarity. It is influenced by desire, confusion, and personal bias, making it difficult to identify the correct course of action.

Tamasik Intelligence (Tamasic Buddhi)

अधर्मं धर्ममिति या मन्यते तमसावृता।
सर्वार्थान्विपरीतांश्च बुद्धिः सा पार्थ तामसी।।१८.३२।।

Tamasik intelligence: considers
Adharma to be Dharma,
interprets everything in life opposite to truth.

Tamasik Intelligence is deluded, clouded, and inverted. It misjudges reality, misunderstands situations, and leads individuals toward self destructive decisions.

Understanding Dharma in This Context

Here, Dharma does not refer to religion (Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, etc.).

In ancient Indian texts, Dharma means:

right human conduct,
right action,
right responsibility,
right way of living.

The Three Types of Dhruti (Mental Stability)

Modern science considers only collecting data and processing it as 'Intelligence'. Sanatan Hindu texts define another type of intelligence that is the patience. The computing platforms do not possess this - Dhruti.

Now let us examine the second dimension of intelligence—Dhruti.

This is the inner force that stabilizes the mind and keeps it steady. This also has three qualities associated with it.

Satwik Dhruti (Sattvic Mental Stability)

धृत्या यया धारयते मनःप्राणेन्द्रियक्रियाः।
योगेनाव्यभिचारिण्या धृतिः सा पार्थ सात्त्विकी।।१८.३३।।

This type of Dhruti is marked by:

complete control of the mind,
mastery over the life force,
stable senses,
unwavering focus.

Definition: Satwik Dhruti is unwavering discipline — the ability to stay stable, calm, and controlled even in challenges. Note that this can be developed through Vedic practices.

Rajasik Dhruti (Rajasic Mental Stability)

यया तु धर्मकामार्थान्धृत्या धारयतेऽर्जुन।
प्रसङ्गेन फलाकङ्क्षी धृतिः सा पार्थ राजसी।।१८.३४।।

Characteristics include:
attachment to results,
desire for reward,
fixation on Dharma, pleasure, and wealth.

Rajasik Dhruti is the stability that depends on outcomes. The person acts with expectations, desires, and emotional dependency.

Tamasik Dhruti (Tamasic Mental Stability)

यया स्वपनं भयं शोकं विषादं मदमेव च।
न विमुञ्चति दुर्मेधा धृतिः सा पार्थ तामसी।।१८.३५।।

Tamasik Dhruti is characterized by:

excessive sleep fear worry sorrow depression ego refusal to act

Definition: Tamasik Dhruti keeps a person stuck in inertia, fear, grief, and ego-driven decisions.

This important aspect of intelligence has been completely ignored in Artificial Intelligence systems.

The Two Dimensions of Intelligence Together

A Complete Map of Human Intelligence

Thus, human intelligence has two major layers:

1. Buddhi — Core Intellectual Ability Your ability to judge, reason, decide, and understand.
2. Dhruti — Mental Stability

Your ability to remain steady, disciplined, and emotionally controlled.

Each of these is further divided into Satwik, Rajasik, and Tamasik types—creating a complete classification of human psychology found only in ancient Indian wisdom.

To explain this in modern terms:

Buddhi = Operating System of the brain
Dhruti = Cache memory where thoughts are processed with intelligently controlled delay mehanism

If cache memory (Dhruti) is unstable, the whole system malfunctions.

If Buddhi is unclear, the system makes wrong decisions.

Modern science cannot measure any of these qualities today. No test, no device, no IQ assessment can quantify Satwa, Rajas, or Tamas.

Yet these qualities define the true depth, stability, clarity, and effectiveness of human intelligence.

Further Characteristics of Intelligence in
Shri Durga Saptashati

Ancient Indian scriptures go even deeper.

Shri Durga Saptashati lists additional characteristics of human intelligence in a profound hymn.

For 26 more characteristics of human intelligence Read Sanatan Dharma A Complete Scientific Analysis.

After reading this the reader may realize that such a comprehensive and extensive study of human intelligence has not been done by any scientists anywhere in the world in the modern times.

The above is a gist of intelligence as defined in ancient Indian texts.

The noteworthy features of this study are:

The above theory is applicable to all living beings and not just to human beings or just people following Hindu faith.
The above definitions are applicable to all humans irrespective of the caste or creed or race, religion or faith.
The above theory of intelligence was applicable millions of years ago, it is applicable in the present times and would be applicable any time in the future of mankind.

Hence this theory is eternal.
