"Life is a waste unless there is a purpose in life.
Is breathing air in and out life?
Is giving birth to children life?
Is accumulating wealth life?
Is running around perplexed life?
Is being busy all the time life?
Is old age, shakiness of body, disease, ignorance, shortages, pains and sorrows life?
When we do not know the purpose of our life then we are like those animals who wander around aimlessly compelled by an unknown force. Who themselves do not know on which path they are standing. They themselves do not know where the journey will end and what is their aim.
When the path is unknown then walking on the path is like walking like a blind man. When we do not know the formula of living a happy life, when we do not have the knowledge and philosophy, then how can we call this life as life?
We are only carrying our dead body on our shoulders and walking continuously, for a moment we have to think whether we have raised our life above that of animal life? Have we understood the aim of our life?
Do we know our destination?
Do we know the path on which we are standing?
We have never thought.
We have accepted the enjoyment and suffering as life, we have accepted that breathing is life.
Life is that for which we have the formula in our hands.
Life is that of which we know the crux, in the language of the society and language of science we are living, but according to the scriptures we are dead.
Because according to the great ancient Indian scriptures, a person who is not conscious, who is ignorant of who am I? Where I am going? Where I have to reach? That person is dead.
Till the time we understand the crux of life, the philosophy of life, in real terms we are not living."

Initiation Into Sanatan Dharma
The most common dilemma faced by all those who intend to know more about Sanatan Dharma or Hinduism is where to start and how to proceed. There are also hundreds of Gurus available online on the internet. How do we determine as to whom to follow?
Sanatan Hindu tradition requires going through several important steps. These recommended steps are
Self-realization or the knowledge of the self.
This is an important step of understanding as to who we are? Why this existence has been created? How this existence has been created? How this existence works? What is my role in this existence? What is the purpose of life? What are the fundamental principles that govern this universe? And so on.
Knowing answers to the above will remove an array of curtains drawn on your mind. It will remove a number of illusions from your mind. This would build the foundation of your thought process.
Showing of a Step by Step Path.
In today’s times there are hundreds who are teaching so many Hindu practices. Some are teaching meditation, some are teaching mantras, some are teaching tantra, some are selling discourses asking you to join huge gatherings, in these gatherings many stories are told from scriptures, some are selling utilities, some are selling Yoga, some are selling Kundalini and so on.
But none of them are telling you that elusive definite path moving upon which you can bring definite positive transformations into your life. People are teaching advanced techniques without even understanding the fundamentals.
Our objective is to spread the knowledge starting from the foundational principles. We will also keep warning you in advance as to what is difficult? what is formidable? What is important? etc. You will be amazed how important certain principles are that we have been discarding because of their simplicity. We shall bring to you a definite path that would take the seekers right up to the point of salvation.
Any person or organization providing you with both of the above is the right place for you to join.
Our Approach to the
Sanatan Education
We would like to inform the readers that our approach to teaching of Sanatan Dharma is a deviation from conventional expectations.
Do not expect a bearded Guru with a broad tilak on the forehead, with saffron clothes and asking you to join an ashram or giving grand discourses or telling you stories from the scriptures.
The promoter of Uma Kailash Foundation is a qualified Engineer from a premier institute in India. Having studied more than 450 scriptures we have not found a single instance in any book where broad tilaks, beards or even saffron clothes are recommended. Neither has our Guru ever asked us to don the same. Yes, Guru chadar is recommended during practice, simple tilak is recommended, certain sadhanas require white, yellow, red or even black clothing while performing the sadhanas but you will be amazed that nowhere saffron has been recommended, saffron which now has become the identification of Hindu culture.
Our focus is more on authentic knowledge from scriptures. As you all educated would understand gathering of knowledge does not require donning any of the external garbs. In fact, the teachings dissuade from display of ornamental external identifications.
Conventions
Conventionally what is being done by the most is starting to make the students study scriptures after scriptures. However, in this manner the student may not arrive at the crux of the knowledge soon. It may take years if at all the crux is arrived upon.
In Shrimad Bhagwad Gita Bhagwan Krishna has clearly said that it is important to understand the crux. If the thirst can be quenched by a bowl of water there is no need to go to the lake.
After studying and analysing hundreds of scriptures over the last fifty years or so, the promoter has arrived upon the most fundamental concepts and principles essential to be understood. For any concept the confirmations have been arrived upon taking reference from a number of scriptures.
The promoter has also not followed any conventional and traditional system of understanding Sanatan Dharma under any specific school. Therefore, the promoter is not under the influence of dogmatic preachings, but his own assimilation of the knowledge direct from the scriptures and blessings of the Guru.
Home as the Place of Study
We do not recommend and ask you to run to distant places or ashrams or expensive retreats and spend loads of money and time into traveling.
But to gather knowledge sitting in your own sweet home anywhere in the world. There is no better place to gather knowledge than the seclusion of your own home.
In the past times and even now there have been and there are sages who would proceed to the forests for sadhanas. But that is at a highly advanced stage. To start with one need not go into all this. The most important aspect is to know more and gather more of knowledge. The practices also we recommend shall be done at home living within your present personal and professional life as it is.
Where & How to Start
There is also a confusion in the minds of seekers as to which ancient texts to start to study.
This also we have simplified by presenting you with a free course on Self-Realization. In this we shall present the core concepts. Most of these concepts would be absolutely new to you. You will be amazed how these core concepts have been sidelined and focus has become more on external adornment and story telling in the present times. Even the most popular and followed Gurus on the internet have never even talked about these concepts.
Within this course we shall continue to recommend books and publishers and specific chapters to read and gather more knowledge. Many of these books are now available as free downloads and for that also we would recommend specific websites. Those more eager can also buy the books from the market or online.
The promoter being an engineer is therefore with a science background. Therefore, his research into ancient texts has always been a scientific mind.
Today the world requires reasoning and especially a scientific explanation to all concepts. This scientific approach is the basis of all that we shall be delivering in our courses. At certain places the scientific concepts are advanced and complex. In such situations the readers with non-science background are recommended to do some online research to understand better.
